Julie Lawless
Founder and President
For over two decades, Founder Julie Lawless has helped shape some of the world's most successful businesses as an executive in Corporate Communications, including Elanco Animal Health, Mars Petcare and Nissan and Infiniti. Julie's transformative career took flight at Elanco, where she established the Corporate Affairs function, pioneered Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG initiatives, and deftly managed Elanco's IPO and the acquisition of Bayer Animal Health. Her roles at Mars Petcare honed her expertise in crisis management while revealing her passion for organizations that leverage the healing power of pets and began her career at Nissan and Infiniti where she gained a broad spectrum of communication skills.
Beyond her corporate career, Julie is a dedicated advocate for the Human-Animal Bond and serves on several nonprofit boards, including Banfield Foundation and previously on Pet Partners. Her remarkable influence earned her recognition as a "Woman of Influence" by Pet Age Magazine in 2021.
In 2022, Julie founded Lawless Strategic Communications, driven by her vision to provide corporate communication counsel to companies serving animals and their human companions. She brings her extensive experience and a purpose-driven approach to make a positive impact in the animal health, veterinary, and food production industries.
